Shop Status Update

We are still settling in here in Colorado, but the shop will begin a partial re-opening by the end of next week. The inserts have undergone a few minor changes and listings need to be updated to reflect them. This will slow down the appearance of certain listings, mainly in the Adjustable Dividers category.

I’ve had several inquires regarding the availability of Large Hobo bags and hope to have a few available within the next couple of weeks. All of handbag fabrics I had in stock were left behind (donated/sold), so I’ll be doing a little shopping before offering anything new.

Moving, moving, moving

After living pretty much my entire life (since I was 5) here in Texas, we are relocating to Colorado. Bye-bye 100+ degree summers! There are loads of things I love about the lone star state, but the summers are most definitely not one of them.

This move came as little bit of surprise and now we have to complete everything in just over a month. Yikes! This means lots of time spent packing and coordinating with little time left for anything else. So to help ensure that insert orders are not delayed overly long, all custom listings have been removed from the Martilena shop for the time being. I hope to have everything back up and running within the next few weeks.

If you placed an order, before the hiatus it will be completed and shipped prior to our move. Orders are shipping at the 15 business day mark or a little later at the moment, but that should improve within the next week.

Flip-Top Zipper Closure DSLR Insert

Oh, I’m so excited about this one. The new flip-top zipper closure DSLR insert will replace the top zipper closure insert. This new style allows you complete access to the interior of your insert, while still providing the great protection of zipper closure.

The top is padded with 1/4 inch foam, so there is a level of protection across the top of the insert as well as all sides.

The zipper closure is perfect for carrying in backpacks or totes or in any bag where you may be concerned about items falling on top of your gear. Zipper closure is also great when you need to protect gear from the elements, such as sand or rain.

The sample bag is available for purchase in the Martilena shop and custom bags will be available very soon. The sample measures 5″ D x 13″ L x 10″ H (from top to bottom).
